Income Sources

  • Employment - T4

  • Pension - T4A(P), T4A(OAS), T4RSP

  • Other - T4A

  • Investment - T3, T5, T5008

  • Rental - T776: ask me for my business template to help with the income and expense summary

  • Farm - T2042

Deduction and Credits

  • RRSP contributions

  • Charitable donations

  • Childcare expenses

  • Employment expenses - T777: T2200 from employer

  • Tuition slips - T2202

  • Medical expenses

  • Investment fees paid on non-registered accounts

  • Political contributions

Tips

  • Start early to avoid last‑minute stress

  • Review last year’s tax return or Notice of Assessment to identify expected slips

  • Check your CRA online account for slips that may not have been received by mail

  • Consider whether foreign reporting may apply, such as T1134 or T1135, if you owned certain foreign assets with a total cost exceeding $100,000 CAD at any point in the year
